Platform ladders operate similarly to a step ladder but provide a work platform at the top for a stable area to stand, ideal for tasks which require an employee to work at height for an extended period of time. This model is both mobile thanks to its wheel chassis and foldable so that it can be stowed without taking up too much space. The wheeled chassis models have a lever to engage the wheels for moving, then to disengage the wheels so the feet then rest on the ground.
